DORRITY LAW OFFICE cares for Veterans. When a claim is denied by the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA), we can help you perfect your appeal to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC). The CAVC is a federal court not part of VA. Claims denied by the BVA may be appealed to CAVC. Such an appeal is an adversarial proceeding where a VA attorney defends the denial of your claim. Practice before CAVC requires understanding of legal precedence as well as Rules of Practice & Procedure issued by the Court. While it is permissible to file a CAVC appeal pro se, or on your own, legal guidance is helpful particularly when determining whether VA error resulted in the denial of your claim.
